With his solo act, Capricious Accordion, Joe has harnessed modern technology to deliver the utmost in live performances as a single musician without the use of sequenced or pre-recorded music. His album Something for Everyone contains selected tunes from the huge variety of music - classical, traditional European, Latin, standards and even bluegrass - played live at Capricious Accordion performances.
Alpiners U S A is an ethnic and variety band performing the music from the cultures of Eastern and Western Europe, as well as a variety of evergreens - select pop, country/Tex Mex, and ballroom tunes 1940s - 1970s from the USA. The band enjoys a large following of dancers and listeners as it performs in many clubs and restaurants throughout the Bay Area and the entire country. A variation, the Alpiners U S A Oktoberfest Band, performs at numerous festivals during September and October, as well as May (Maifest). In the Bay Area, this band is the main entertainment at the annual downtown Campbell Oktoberfest. The band's accomplishments include successful performances at other large venues, including the huge Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA (www.musikfest.org).
