Capricio Dance Band evolved out of Alpiners U S A - with its ever widening repertoire - when our audiences recognized that we did a superb job of performing ballroom dance music and music of the 50s/60s from right here at home. Capricio differs from Alpiners U S A primarily in repertoire. We will surprise you with the favorites you remember from earlier years. As Capricio Dance Band, we perform dance music and evergreens of the 1930s into the 1970s, including ballroom, rock and roll, country, Latin (tangos, rumbas, sambas, cha-cha...) and more. Examples from this band's repertoire on the CD page include Brown-Eyed Girl, Pretty Woman, It Had to Be You, Cumparsita, Patricia, Sixteen Tons and Brazil. And, don't forget to tell us in advance if there are any 'must-have' special requests for your event; we're glad to prepare them especially for you.
With rich vocals, and the sound of full instrumentation achieved through the use of digital technology (don't let that scare you … everything is performed live … there are no pre-recorded or sequenced sound tracks), we sound like a group of five to six pieces or more. Moreover, we provide the best in professional sound reinforcement … even for large and outdoor venues.
